Guntur court orders police to file case against minister

Venkateshwara Rao, president of the JSP's Guntur district unit, many residents of the minister's Sattenapalle constituency were being sold tickets under the guise of the illegal lottery. Despite the fact that lotteries are prohibited in the state, the JSP leader claims that tickets were still being distributed and that the minister himself had persuaded people to purchase them.
When the police failed to take any action on the complaint, the petitioner sought the court's intervention.
