Uttar Pradesh: Locals of Kanpur rescued a 100-year-old rare Himalayan Griffon Vulture and handed it over to the forest officials. According to the sources, a Himalayan Griffon Vulture was rescued near Benajhabar Idgah graveyard on Saturday and informed the forest officials. Locals said that they sighted the vulture a week ago but failed to catch it.

Finally, they caught the vulture and handed it over to the forest officials. The officials shifted it to the Allen Forest zoo and quarantined it for 15 days. The vulture weighs about 8 kg and it's under the monitoring of the doctors.
