Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna's Vaarasudu gets new release date

Three big films are set to be released in Tollywood during the festival of Sankranthi. Balakrishna's "Veerasimha Reddy" is set to release on January 12th, while Chiranjeevi's "Waltheru Veeraiah" is set to hit theaters on January 13th. Dil Raju's "Varasudu," featuring Tamil actor Vijay, was also scheduled for release on January 11th.

However, there has been strong opposition from fans of Chiranjeevi and Balayya, as the release of Vijay's film would mean fewer theaters for their own films. In response, Dil Raju has announced that the release of "Varasudu" has been postponed to January 14th, while the Tamil version will still be released as planned on January 11th. Dil Raju stated that the decision was made in order to avoid competition for theaters and to allow more screen time for the films of Chiranjeevi and Balayya.

He also commented that those who opposed the release of his film were "crying" and that he would not be cornered.
