In two cases involving violations of the model code of conduct during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, a special court in Rampur has issued a non-bailable warrant against former lawmaker Jaya Prada. As a result of Jaya Prada's prolonged absence from hearings in the case, the MP/MLA court set January 9 for the next hearing and issued an NBW recently, according to government attorney Amarnath Tiwari. During the 2019 general elections, the actress-turned-politician Jaya Prada is charged with breaking the model code of conduct. She has previously skipped court appearances as well.
