As he made his Ranji Trophy debut, Arjun Tendulkar, the 23-year-old son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, made a significant advancement in his cricket career. Arjun, a player for Goa, replicated his famous father Sachin Tendulkar by hitting a century on Day 2 of his team's Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan in Porvorim. Coincidentally, 34 years ago in December 1988, Sachin too scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut. In two unofficial Tests in 2018, Arjun made his Under-19 debut for India against Sri Lanka. Arjun, an all-around bowler for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, has not yet taken the field. He was chosen in the IPL 2021 auction, but ailments prevented him from participating.
