Konda Surekha, a senior leader in the Telangana Congress, has made a shocking decision. Konda Surekha has been appointed as a member of the TPCC executive committee. Konda Surekha, however, turned down the position. She was upset and claimed she had been insulted. She forwarded the letter to Telangana PCC President A Revanth Reddy and announced her resignation from the executive committee. She alleged that in choosing committee members, seniority was not taken into account. According to her, juniors were given preference over her. Konda Surekha claims, "I have been a member of the Congress for more than three decades, yet I have not yet been recognised." 'For me self respect is more important than position', Surekha claimed. The Konda Surekha controversy is now causing a stir among Telangana Congress cadre.
