Hyderabad Express Metro to Airport's foundation was officially laid by Telangana Chief Minister KCR. Once finished, it will reduce the distance between the city and the airport's travel time to just 26 minutes. It will provide connection between Mindspace Junction and Hyderabad Airport at Shamshabad and is projected to cost Rs. 6250 crores. Additionally, a multi-location check-in facility will be provided. Each station will include Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates and bolster-less bogies for the convenience of the passengers. All airport metro stations will have a Flight Information Display (FID) and information desk to keep travellers updated about the flights. In addition to serving as a vital link between the Aerocity in Adibatla and the planned Pharma City, the project will also offer public transportation to southern Hyderabad.
