On Tuesday morning, there was a lot of drama as YS Sharmila and YSRTP leaders attempted to make their way to Telangana CM K Chandra Sekhar Rao's home in protest of the TRS members' attack on her convoy on Monday and the subsequent cancellation of permission for her padayatra.
As she tried to approach Pragathi Bhavan, the office and residence of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, in Hyderabad on Tuesday, Y S Sharmila, the founder-president of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) and the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, was detained for the second time in two days time. A great drama was witnessed near the police station as the car's windows were forcibly removed prior to her arrest. Along with YS Sharmila, YSRTP supporters who were in the car with her were forcibly removed from it and detained. They could be heard yelling KCR down down.
Earlier, as the YSRTP chief YS Sharmila was inside vehicle and refused to get down, the police tow-away it with the help of a crane. The police detained numerous YSRTP activists as well. A number of female supporters of Sharmila allegedly came under the abuse of female police officers for refusing to budge.
