Megastar Chiranjeevi was recognised as the Indian Film Personality of the Year 2022 at IFFI Goa. At the opening ceremony of the film festival, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur made the same announcement. The moment Chiranjeevi's name was announced as the recipient of the honour, movie celebrities began thanking him on social media. Veteran actor Mohan Babu has also tweeted, Congratulations to my dear @KChiruTweets on being honored at @IFFIGoa. Wishing you many more laurels with the blessings of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Reacting to it, the Mega Star replied, saying ‘Thank you friend’. Additionally wishing Chiru were Manchu Vishnu, Varun Tej, Saidharam Tej, Haribabu Kambhapati, and others.
