Social media reports of a bomb threat at Hyderabad's Charminar in the Old City have instilled fear among residents. The attackers allegedly called the police to inform them that a bomb had been set at the Charminar. The cops were alerted right away. With the help of the bomb and dog squad, the Charminar and its surroundings underwent extensive inspections. Hotels and shops near Charminar were examined. The police squad searched extensively but came up empty-handed. They then described it as a fake call. There was a collective sigh of relief. Threats to blow up Charminar are nothing new. The police have previously been on the run while responding to a call.
