The busiest airport in the Bengaluru region will soon join the ranks of airports like Changi Airport in Singapore and Hamad International Airport in Doha, which have lush greenery and gardens inside their terminals, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened Bengaluru Airport's Terminal 2. The new infrastructural building at the Bengaluru airport includes 10,235 sqm of green walls and is known as the "Terminal in a Garden." Around the terminal, 620 endemic plants and more than 3,600 plant species have been planted. The vegetation inside the terminal will be like nothing passengers have ever seen before. The T2 was constructed for about Rs 5,000 crore and can accommodate 25 million travellers yearly.
