Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru is prepared to receive more travellers once its new Terminal 2 opens. The Terminal, which was constructed for roughly Rs 5,000 crore, will enable the airport to handle 5–6 crore more passengers annually than its current capacity of 2.5 crore. The new airport wing, which was created to pay homage to Bengaluru, the garden city, will be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. During his visit, PM Modi will also unveil the giant bronze statue of Kempegowda. Social media is exploding with images of Terminal 2 in the days leading up to the event. The Terminal is an architectural marvel with more than 10,000 square metres of green walls, suspended gardens, and outdoor gardens, to be precise.
