Regarding Jayalalitha's demise and the alleged actions of several persons, including Sasikala, during her illness, various questions have been raised. Kovai Selvaraj, the leader of the AIADMK and a supporter of the OPS, made some shocking remarks in this passage. Jayalalitha is believed to have been slain and tortured by being given ice cream and candy. Despite having diabetes, it is claimed that she was fed sweets while receiving treatment. Even though the then-CM Panneerselvam advised her to travel abroad for medical care if her health deteriorated, according to Selvaraj, Sasikala did not concur. Palaniswami has also come under fire from him for his silence even after two commissioners had issued reports on Jayalalithaa's death.
