Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, claimed that CM K Chandrashekar Rao(KCR) made the decision to create his national party on the advise of a tantric. To propel itself to the forefront of national politics, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) changed its name to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) earlier on Wednesday. Nirmala Sitharaman, a BJP leader and Union minister, attacked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao by claiming that he stopped visiting the secretariat on the recommendation of tantriks. She has further claimed that this superstition prevents KCR from adding any women to his cabinet. BRS leader Putta Vishnu Vardhan Reddy responded by saying that Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's remark about CM KCR was in poor taste. He asserted that Telangana's residents are aware of Bandi Sanjay, the state's BJP leader's mental illness. He claimed that Bandi Sanjay and Nirmala Sitharaman's statements appear to be part of a plot to damage TRS.
