The chief of the TRS and Telangana's chief minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao, came under fire from the Telangana BJP state President on Thursday for forming a new national party by renaming the TRS to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He questioned why KCR floated a new party without a flag and agenda and claimed that the TRS leader was entering national politics in order to make his son, Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), as Telangana's chief minister. The BJP State President remarked, "There are only two people who have own planes in Telugu states," as he continued to criticise CM KCR. They are KCR and K A Paul, the founder of the Praja Shanti Party, he said. Earlier, Telangana Minister Puvvada Ajay praised Chief Minister KCR's decision to form a national party and questioned what would be wrong if KCR entered national politics and even considered running for prime minister.
