On Friday, Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple received a special offering of prayers and 1.160 kg of gold from Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao(KCR) and his family. Himanshu Rao, Chandrasekhar Rao's grand-son and son of Telangana's IT and industries minister KTR, handed over a cheque for Rs 52.48 lakh to purchase more than 1 kg of gold. CM KCR had previously stated that he would make a donation on his family's behalf to cover the gopuram of the temple in gold. Political analysts said that KCR's Yadadri temple visit was made at the right time to receive the almighty's blessings before entering the national political arena.
