The High Court granted relief to senior actor Mohan Babu, the chairman of Sri Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions, and his sons. Vishnu, Manoj, and numerous others , who were charged with breaching the election code of conduct and disrupting traffic in March 2019 by holding a dharna at the campus gate. The matter is currently being handled in Tirupati's Court of Fourth Additional Junior Civil Judge. Before order to get the case dismissed, Mohan Babu and his sons filed litigation in the High Court. The petitioners' lawyer, N. Ashwani Kumar, argued on their behalf, claiming that the police's registered sections do not apply to them. He added that certain sections that violated the Code of Election Conduct were null and void. The judge took those facts into account and issued an interim order suspending the lower court's proceedings for a period of six weeks.
