In a horrifying occurrence, an 18-wheel Lorry skidded at a fast rate of speed, flipped over, and crushed the car carrying three family members. A couple and their single child reportedly died there. The truck has also been struck by another car, which was also hit by the truck. The car's occupants, however, managed to survive. The road accident took place on the national route connecting Phagwara and Chandigarh. The driver Manoj Singh was arrested for driving recklessly while operating the sand laden Lorry. A case has been booked against the driver.
