In the early hours of Sunday, veteran actor Krishnam Raju passed away at the age of 83. After paying his final respects to his senior co-star, senior actor Murali Mohan remarked that they have always had a brotherly bond. Murali Mohan has recalled a political episode in which he and Krishnam Raju squared off against one other in Rajahmundry as they tried to win the MP seat. He claimed that until the last moment of election, they were unaware that they were competing against one another. Murali Mohan has disclosed how they took part in the election and how a third candidate was elected to the position. Murali Mohan has recalled the days when Krishnam Raju, taking the co-ordination of him, Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Nagarjuna and Jayasudha and others, worked successfully taking the top post in Movies Artists Association.
