K Kavitha, a TRS MLC, claimed that by putting welfare programmes into place, the government aims to allay the worries of the underprivileged. Speaking to a crowd in Nizamabad following the delivery of Aasra pensions to deserving recipients and ration cards to beneficiaries, K Kavitha claimed that the Central government was planning to eliminate the programmes that helped the underprivileged. She responded to the NDA administration led by the BJP's comments about freebies. Kavitha has questioned how the needs of the poor will be met if free initiatives are not implemented. She claims that PM Modi gave money of Rs. 10 lakh crores to friends who are reportedly implicated in cases of money laundering. TRS MLC has questioned Modi government, asking "How will their difficulties are handled if free initiatives meant for poor people are not implemented?"
