On Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah encouraged the southern states to look into a cooperative solution for problems including river water sharing. He also suggested that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana work together to resolve their outstanding issues in his speech at the 30th southern zonal council meeting, which was held in Thiruvananthapuram and attended by chief ministers and lieutenant governors of southern states and union territories. The Union Home Minister called on all States of the Southern Zonal Council to pursue a cooperative solution to the challenges linked to the sharing of waterways. According to the reports, total 26 topics were considered in the 30th meeting of Southern Zonal Council held at Thiruvananthapuram today, 9 issues were settled, 17 items were reserved for further consideration, out of which 9 concerns are connected to reorganisation of Andhra Pradesh.
