Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited a ration store in Birkoor village in Banswada on Friday while on a tour of Kamareddy and Banswada in Telangana for the BJP's Parliament Pravas Yojana. She questioned the authorities about why PM Modi's flex banners couldn't be shown at the store, claiming that the Union government was responsible for the majority of the subsidised rice that was being supplied to state residents for just one rupee. 'Why do you have a problem with me putting the picture of such a great leader?', Nirmala was heard suggesting that district authorities, including the Collector, bring the Prime Minister's flex and position it here. Nirmala Sitharaman, came under fire from Telangana's spokesperson K Keshav Rao for pushing for the placement of flex banners showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a ration store.
