According to reports on Thursday, the Election Commission of India has recommended that Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, be disqualified from the state assembly for allegedly breaking election law by granting himself a mining licence. The polling panel recommended the Jharkhand Raj Bhavan over the Soren office of profit issue. The Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, was given the mining lease, and the BJP had already claimed that this was an abuse of power. The Governor enquired about EC's thoughts on this. There is a chance that the Governor would soon take action against Chief Minister Hemant based on the Election Commission's report.
