Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy speaks after meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah

Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who quit the Congress party and his MLA position, met Amit Shah, the union home minister about joining the BJP while he was in Delhi on Friday.

Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy made his announcement that he would be joining the BJP on May 21 during a press conference on Friday in New Delhi.

"I'm going to join the BJP and conduct a huge public meeting. Amit Shah will be there', Rajagopal Reddy voiced confidence in the BJP's ability to build a Telangana people's government.

According to him, BJP leaders have been encouraging him to join the party for a while because Telangana needs a powerful political movement. He slammed the TRS administration, saying it is a family party, and declared he was joining the BJP to bring back democracy to Telangana.

"Since the Congress party has lost support at the national level, I think the BJP is the only party that can make it happen." Only after lengthy meetings with Munugodu leaders and activists, I decided to step down.

Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy stated, "I have written my resignation letter in the Speaker's format, and I will meet with the speaker soon and accept my resignation."

Rajagopal claimed that the Munugodu verdict would serve as the Telangana government's 'eye-opener' and that this is why he quit.
