Senior actress Jayasudha stated that she did not feel it was important to mark the event of her five decade cinema career. The actress turned politician in an interview promo for the show "Open Heart With RK.", claimed there wasn't even a bouquet of flowers to greet her for the milestone she achieved. The veteran actress said, "Had any Bollywood celebrity been in my position, they could have been felicitated in a big manner." In the conversation, Jayasudha also highlighted her political career, the MAA election, the MAA building, her husband, her frequent trips to the USA, the discrimination in the film industry, and the Padma Sri awards.
