On Thursday, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu almost avoided mishap while boating through the flood-affected area on the Godavari river. According to reports, the disaster that occurred in Sompally in the West Godavari district involved TDP senior leaders Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Undi MLA Rama Raju, Tanuku former MLA Radhakrishna, and party leader Satyanarayana all falling into the Godavari river. Chandrababu, however, was unharmed. The party leaders breathed a sigh of relief at this. The fishermen brought the TDP leaders from the river safely to the shore after recognising the threat right away. A collision occurred between two boats carrying TDP leaders when they arrived at Sompally as part of Chandrababu's tour. The TDP leaders in the boat that tipped to one side as a result fell into the Godavari.
