Secunderabad Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu: Lashkar Bonalu 2022- A report
On Sunday, Secunderabad witnessed Lashkar Bonalu with the customary fervour and joy. Numerous thousands of worshippers prayed at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the minister for animal husbandry of Telangana, made the first "Bonam," or offering, to the god. Additionally, Minister Malla Reddy prayed at the Ujjaini Mahankali temple.
In attendance during the yearly festivities were Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Union Tourism and Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy, state Congress president A. Revanth Reddy, MLC K. Kavitha, and representatives from other political parties.
The female worshippers offered the goddess Mahankali "Bonam," which was made of cooked rice, jaggery, curd, and neem leaves. The offering was made by Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the chief minister's daughter, after she and many other ladies arrived at the temple in a demonstration.
The second phase of the almost one-month-long traditional festival in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad is known as Bonalu in Secunderabad or Lashkar Bonalu.
