According to a recent report, a British woman preparing to become an airline pilot was killed in Belgium after being bitten by a mosquito. Oriana Pepper, age 21, was reportedly bitten by the insect in July 2021 while visiting Antwerp, and as a result, she had an illness that spread to her brain. She sought care after discovering a inflamed bite wound close to her right eye. Pepper already received an antibiotic prescription and was sent home. But after collapsing two days later, her boyfriend took her back to the hospital. Unfortunately, because of the infection's spread to her brain and the blood clots, she was unable to be saved. The investigation's final report was recently released to confirm the news.
