The owner of a tea store in Chennai is named Dhinakaran. He has built up an unusual tea shop close to Marina beach, a well-known hotspot. Usually, there are plenty of tea stores and cafes on the beach. But Dhina was aware that for his shop to be well-known, it needed to be distinctive. Everyone in his immediate vicinity offered drinks in glass, paper, or plastic. However, Dhinakaran opted to use natural utensils to serve tea or coffee. He now uses coconut shell cups to serve drinks. But as time went on, he realised it was not sustainable, so he concurrently employed a few people to create coconut shells just for the shop. Dhinakaran also thinks that using coconut shells as cutlery is beneficial for human health.
