On Thursday, thousands of Tollywood film industry employees skipped work for the second straight day in protest of low pay, halting the stream of new films. On the suggestion of Telangana Cinematography Minister T. Srinivas Yadav, meetings between the Federation and Film Producers' Council were held in the midst of the protest. Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation announced following the meeting that the film industry workers have called off their indefinite strike and will resume work on Friday. The Federation stated that a coordination committee led by movie producer Dil Raju would review the workers' request for a pay increase and reach a conclusion. On Friday, the committee is anticipated to decide the quantum of the hike.
