Chennai: Tension escalated at Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's ghat after Anna DMK activist tried to commit suicide on Wednesday. According to the reports, Anna DMK activists poured petrol over him and tried to commit suicide by setting fire to himself. After getting the information, the police rushed to the spot and averted the major incident. They demanded to declare only Jayalaithaa's name to the party and demanded to remove Palani Swamy as the party chief. High tension raised at the ghat and DMK activists raised slogans demanding to remove Palani Swamy as the party chief.
