While nationwide protests over the Central Government's Agnipath recruiting scheme continue, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh convened a meeting with military commanders. The Defence Minister met with Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Navy Chief Admiral R. Hari Kumar, and IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari on Saturday. Likewise, the Indian Air Force announced the Agnipath recruitment initiative on Sunday morning. The recruitment procedure will begin on June 24. The IAF document specifies eligibility, educational requirements, medical standards, assessment, and other factors. It was stated that the first batch of Agniveers would begin training on December 30. The government recently announced the Agnipath Scheme in an effort to reform the recruitment procedure for the Armed Forces.
