TTD issued a keynote address to devotees visiting Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy darshan on Tuesday. It has been stated that no plastic goods would be permitted on the sacred pilgrimage centre beginning tomorrow. TTD has declared a total ban on plastic on Tirumala Hill. TTD also stated that the ban will be in force from Wednesday. The TTD announced a complete ban on plastic on Tirumala Hill, saying it was monitoring the issue and would not allow any plastic objects on the hill. At the Alipiri toll gate, surveillance will be intensified with plastic detection sensors. It also urged that those trying to do business on the hill develop alternatives to plastic.
