Delhi’s ‘matkaman’: This UK-returnee serves healthy food to labourers and water to commuters
Surviving cancer gave him a new lease on life. His purpose now is to change other people's lives by offering necessary services. Alag Natarajan, also known as the Matka Man/Water Man of Delhi, aspires to make his neighbourhood, Panchsheel Park in Delhi, a centre of compassion and goodwill for the entire country.
He now seeks enjoyment in serving people and goes out of his way to help people after spending over 32 years in London.
A cancer survivor quenches the thirst of Delhi's destitute and thirsty passersby in order for them to have easy access to clean drinking water. He serves the necessities, including water, using his modified van. He goes on spreading the message, 'Our primary mission in life is to help others,. And if you can't help them, don't hurt them.'
