Pawan Kalyan cites the reason for Konaseema controversy
Pawan Kalyan, chief of the Jana Sena Party, said the YSR Congress Party-led State administration should apologise for using Dr. B.R. Ambedar's name to stir up controversy over the renaming of the Konaseema district.
Pawan Kalyan blamed the State government for Tuesday's violence in Amalapuram during a press conference. He said that if the Konaseema district name had been changed earlier while renaming other districts in the state, the violence would not have erupted. He claims that the ruling YSRCP renamed Konaseema district without seeking adequate public input. 'Why has the ruling administration made the hasty decision to rename Konaseema? There is something wrong with their intentions,' Jana Sena Chief remarked. He claims that the British have had less of an impact in Konaseema, which has a rich culture of its own.
