Renu Desai took to her Instagram account to write a note to her 18-year-old son, which stated, "An era comes to an end, and another begins. On the occasion of their son's graduation, the parents are overjoyed. No more hurrying to get ready for school in the morning, stressing about bus arrival times, rushing to get lunch packed on time, tutions, PTM, school... I told Akira that his genuine journey begins now, and I hope he finds his own spot in the sun without relying on his parents' light. My small infant grew up in a flash."
