At a ceremony in Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honoured a small dog named Patron. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also attended the event. A Jack Russell terrier, the country's little fighter, has helped sniff out Russian mines and explosives in the northeastern city of Chernihiv and serves as a mascot for the country's State Emergency Service. According to reports, the two-and-a-half-year-old smelling dog assisted minesweepers in the discovery of more than 200 devices. Patron has become a symbol of Ukrainian patriotism, appearing in videos on official Ukrainian social media platforms on a regular basis.
