Chief Justice of India (CJI) N V Ramana stated on Saturday that the Constitution provides for the division of powers among the three organs of the state, and that one should be cognizant of the 'Lakshman Rekha' while carrying out their duties. The CJI made the remarks while speaking at the Joint Conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of High Courts, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated. He said, If everything is done in line with the law, the court would never get in the way of governance. 'We share your concerns and concern about the people's well-being.' the CJI added. On the other side, Prime Minister Modi has advocated increasing the use of local languages in courts, claiming that it will improve the faith of the country's common inhabitants in the justice system.
