Telangana IT and Municipal Administration Minister KTR made some disparaging remarks about neighbouring Telugu states. Despite the fact that he did not name it, the connection was clearly to Andhra Pradesh. KTR stated that a friend of his had witnessed the deterioration of the situation in that state. The minister stated that there was no power, no water, and the roads were in poor condition. When the media pointed to KTR's statements, AP tourism minister stated, 'I don't think his (KTR's) comments were about AP.' Telangana is bordered by a number of states.' When asked what she would do if KTR's reference was to AP, Roja stated she would accompany KTR to AP and show him how the state is best developed. She claimed that KTR was misled and mislead by his friend.
