Dr. Raghuram, the founder of the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, has been awarded one of the most prestigious British Empire Awards, the OBE. Dr. Raghuram received the award from Prince Charles during a ceremony at Widsor Castle in the United Kingdom. Dr. Raghuram is one of the youngest Indian doctors to be awarded the OBE. Dr. Raghuram received the 'OBE Officer of the Most Excellent Order' of the British Empire Award for his contribution in breast cancer prevention. Dr. Raghuram expressed his gratitude to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles on this occasion. He remarked that the accolades increased his sense of responsibility.
