A Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) corporator from the Bholakpur division has been charged with impeding police officers on duty and criminal intimidation. MIM Corporator Ghouseuddin Mohammed was captured on camera using derogatory language and threatening police officers on duty. He was observed shouting at police officers for closing the stores. The video quickly went viral. K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), Telangana's state minister for municipal administration and urban development, instructed Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy on Wednesday to take strong action against the individuals who hindered police officers on duty. 'Regardless of political allegiance, no such rubbish should be accepted in Telangana,' KTR tweeted. As a result, a complaint was filed against the MIM corporator, who was later taken into police custody.
