TRS MPs continue to demonstrate in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, demanding consistent procurement regulations. They approached Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's podium and chanted slogans asking that the centre buy paddy from Telangana. Similarly, after their appeal was denied, TRS MPs in the Rajya Sabha staged a protest and walked out of the house. TRS MPs had earlier served a notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi, requesting that he submit a privilege motion against Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal for allegedly deceiving Parliament on the topic of boiled rice export.
