TRS MPs issued notice on Monday to bring a privilege motion against union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal for intentionally deceiving Parliament and Members on the topic of boiling rice export to other nations. Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently updated the Rajya Sabha on the current grain procurement. It has been disclosed that boiling rice would not be obtained from the states. It was proposed that the respective states acquire based on local requirements. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has stated in Parliament that the Centre will purchase extra raw rice from the states. He reiterated on Friday that the states might acquire various types of rice from other states.
