Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao said it was distressing to see students compelled to return home without a chance to finish their medicine study in war-torn Ukraine. Addressing members of the Legislative Assembly, Telangana Chief Minister KCR stated that his government has borne all expenses to bring these stranded students back from Ukraine and will assist in providing financial assistance to over 900 Telangana students pursuing the medicine course entirely here. He stated that these students travelled to Ukraine to complete their medicine education since the costs in Ukraine are Rs 25 lakh as opposed to Rs 1 crore in India. CM KCR stated that they will inform the central government about this matter. Members of the house applauded CM KCR's remarks by clapping their hands on the benches.
