Duvvada Srinivas Responds to Suspension, Promises Comeback
Member of Legislative Council Duvvada Srinivas has responded to his suspension from the YSRCP, which was issued on disciplinary grounds. In a video statement, Duvvada Srinivas confirmed that he was suspended from the party on April 22 and expressed his perspective on the official announcement made by the YSRCP.
“Before speaking about the YSRCP, we must speak about Jagan Mohan Reddy. It was Jagan who gave me this stature and position, and I sincerely thank him for that,” said Duvvada Srinivas. He asserted that he had worked hard for the party, had become its voice, and had vocally confronted the opposition in the past. “Despite having served the party tirelessly, I was suspended without cause, under the pretext of personal reasons,” he claimed. He added, “Jagan Mohan Reddy will always remain in my heart. Yet, I feel that I may have become a casualty in the political game.”
Duvvada Srinivas emphasized that he has spent the past 25 years in public life with a commitment to public service. “I have never betrayed the party, never engaged in corruption, never accepted bribes, never misused power, and never engaged in land grabbing. I have worked for the party day and night,” he said. He expressed acceptance of the latest developments.
Describing the suspension as merely a “temporary break,” Duvvada Srinivas recalled a quote by Gurajada Apparao: “For victory, one must discard weariness and work without pause.” He stated, “I will continue to work without a break, with dedication and redoubled enthusiasm, as an independent and neutral public servant, for the people who trust me, for my villages, and for my supporters and well-wishers. No one needs to worry. Duvvada Srinivas will return to every home, in every village. Time will deliver the final verdict on everything.”
He concluded by expressing his gratitude to the people of the Tekkali constituency for bestowing him with immense respect. “As long as I breathe, I will remain dedicated to their service. Wherever my services are needed, I will be available in person. I offer my heartfelt salutations to YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy for having given me the opportunity so far,” said Duvvada Srinivas.
