Telangana Eyes Global Jobs and Investments with Japan Agreements
A high-level delegation led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is currently touring Japan with the aim of attracting substantial investments to the state. The visit, focused on the state's development and expanding employment opportunities for youth, has already resulted in the signing of several key agreements and discussions with representatives of prominent companies.

In a significant step towards increasing overseas employment opportunities for youth from Telangana—particularly in Japan—the state government has entered into separate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with two leading Japanese companies: Tern and Raj Group. Officials stated that under these agreements, a total of 500 job opportunities will be created across four sectors: 200 in healthcare, 100 in engineering, 100 in tourism, and 100 in construction.

As part of the delegation’s itinerary, the Telangana team visited the city of Kitakyushu. There, they met with the city’s Mayor, Kazuhisa Takeuchi. The delegation studied the city’s transformation—from once struggling with severe pollution to now being recognized globally as a model for environmental conservation. During the visit, they toured the Murasaki River Museum, the Environment Museum, and the Eco Town Center to understand the planning and progress that enabled Kitakyushu’s environmental success.

The Telangana delegation will remain in Japan for an additional two days as part of the ongoing visit. More meetings and discussions are scheduled to attract further investments and explore the acquisition of advanced technologies.
