Azharuddin’s Name Removed from North Stand at Uppal Stadium!
Justice Eshwaraiah, serving as the ombudsman for the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), has ordered the removal of former cricketer and senior political leader Mohammed Azharuddin’s name from the North Stand of the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad. The directive was issued during a hearing held today on a petition filed by the Lords Cricket Club.

According to Justice Eshwaraiah, Mohammed Azharuddin, during his tenure as the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, decided to name the stand after himself. However, the ombudsman stated that this decision was invalid, asserting that such a move involved a conflict of interest.

As part of his ruling, Justice Eshwaraiah instructed the Hyderabad Cricket Association to remove Azharuddin’s name from the North Stand. Furthermore, he clarified that the name must not appear on any future tickets issued by the association.
