Group-1 Results Stir Controversy; Telangana High Court Issues Interim Orders

The Telangana High Court has issued key directions regarding the Group-1 recruitment process conducted in the state. The court ordered that appointment letters should not be issued to the selected candidates until the inquiry into the Group-1 recruitment process is completed. However, the court clarified that the certificate verification process for these candidates may continue.

The Group-1 results have already sparked political controversy. Leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) alleged that 74 candidates secured ranks from just two examination centres. They claimed this was evidence of irregularities in the Group-1 results. Allegations were also raised that Telugu-medium students were neglected in the selection process.
