Indian President Droupadi Murmu has departed on an official visit to Portugal and Slovakia, as announced by Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Sunday via the social media platform X. He stated that this marks the first visit by an Indian President to these nations in 25 years.

According to Randhir Jaiswal, President Droupadi Murmu is undertaking an official tour to both Portugal and Slovakia. He expressed optimism that the visit will significantly expand multifaceted cooperation with the two countries.

President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Lisbon to commemorate 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Portugal.
