Man Ends Life in Secunderabad After Bride’s Family Cancels Wedding
A young doctor in Secunderabad died by suicide on Wednesday morning after reportedly becoming distressed over his inability to get married despite advancing age. According to the Railway Police, the deceased was Purohit Kishore, the younger son of Prakash Mal, who had settled in Secunderabad with his family after moving from Gujarat. Kishore was working as a doctor at a community clinic.

Recently, Purohit Kishore had become engaged, and his family had celebrated the engagement ceremony in a grand manner. However, due to Purohit Kishore's baldness and other unspecified reasons, the bride's family later called off the marriage. Following this, his parents resumed searching for another match, but were unsuccessful in finding a suitable alliance.

Purohit Kishore, aged 34, was reportedly distressed that the engagement had been cancelled and that a new match had not yet been arranged. On Wednesday morning, overwhelmed by his emotional state, he lay down on the railway tracks near Cavalry Barracks Railway Station close to Bollaram Railway Station and died after being struck by a train.

The locomotive pilot noticed the incident and informed the Government Railway Police (GRP). Using the address found on Purohit Kishore’s identity card, the police notified his family.
